Right now I'm in a serious re-telling funk. I'm just obsessed with fairytale retellings and seeing all the differences and darkness between the Disney versions and Grimm's versions.
Just this year I've been flying through books like Cinder and Beastly and ad Red Riding Hood like a jet. There's something that's just so incredible about making a once too perfect story where fairytale endings prevail and evil stepmothers are out to ruin the young protagonist's life, into a dark twisted novel where the young protagonist is a dark character with so much more meaning than to just play dress up and marry a prince. It would take absolutely forever to name all these re-tellings but thanks to Team Epic Reads, I DON'T HAVE TO! They did that all for me and I have a chart of most of them.
